Durham County Library is excited to announce the launch of Pronunciator, an online language learning program free of charge to DCL card holders.
With 80 languages to choose from and ESL courses in 50 languages, Pronunciator is focused on quickly building conversational skills through a combination of interactive online drills, scored quizzes, and downloadable audio lessons and phrasebooks. Each language course has a minimum of 1,500 phrases to learn, and most have 10,000 phrases.
If you’re on-the-go, Pronunciator offers free apps for iPhones, iPads and Android phones and tablets. The apps have the same functionality as the web-based version of Pronunciator. So whatever you want to do with Pronunciator, you can do it wherever you are. What’s more, your progress is automatically synced between your devices, so you can go from laptop to mobile phone to tablet without missing a beat. Look for the apps in your device’s app store.
Access Pronunciator through the Durham County Library’s new Pronunciator page. All you need is your library card number!
You can also find a link to Pronunciator from any Durham County Library web page by clicking Research > Online Resources by Category > Languages.
If you have any questions about Pronunciator contact your local DCL location or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note: Our previous online language learning program, Transparent Learning, will be discontinued after March 31, 2014.
