Program: Bullish on Durham: Museum of Durham History

About: Durham County Library will host Katie Spencer, Executive Director of the Museum of Durham History, Lew Myers, immediate past chair of the Museum, founding board member Tom Krakauer, and board members Joyce Smith and Josh David for a discussion at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, at the Main Library, 300. N. Roxboro St.
Spencer will lead the panel in a discussion on the history of the museum, its current home at the History Hub and the vision for the future. The Museum of Durham History is a 21st-century museum that uses stories about people, places and things to foster curiosity, encourage further inquiry and promote an understanding of diverse perspectives about the Durham community and its history. On October 12, 2013, the Durham History Hub – the museum’s first physical space – opened at 500 West Main St.
