Teen STEM Programs

Teens are invited to participate in a variety of STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) programs this summer at Main Library.

If registration is required, click the link for the date for which you want to register.

Photo-o-genic
Wednesdays, Jul. 9, Jul. 30 ~ 2 – 3 p.m.
Use digital cameras to capture sights and sounds. Then print out your pictures.
All supplies are provided.

Techie Teens
Mondays, Jul. 14, 21; Aug. 4, 11 ~ 3 – 5 p.m.
Use a laptop, 3Doodler or iPad. Play games and hang out with friends. (No registration required.)

Simple Science
Tuesdays, Jul. 8, Jul. 15; Aug. 5 ~ 4 – 5 p.m.
Join us for a simple science experiment from Lava Lamps to candy experiments.
You don’t want to miss this opportunity to create, explore and investigate. (No registration required.)

Aromatic Science
Thursday, Jul. 17 ~ 4 – 5 p.m.
Do you love perfumes or body sprays?
Learn about the chemistry of essential oils. Pick an essential oil
to create a body butter or body spray.

Solar Cooking
Tuesday, Jul. 1 ~ 2 – 3 p.m.
Recyclique will demonstrate how to construct a solar cooker.
Dr. Sandy Smith-Nonini will discuss the virtues of cooking with the sun.

Rain Barrel Painting Workshop
Tuesday, Jul. 22 ~ 2 – 3 p.m.
Join us as we paint a rain barrel and learn about water conservation.
