New Catalog Launched

Welcome to the New DCL Catalog!

We are excited to introduce the new Durham County Library online catalog. This version of the catalog is a vast improvement and includes features such as:

• Search result limiting directly from the home screen;
• Auto-complete searching;
• Accurate results even with misspellings;
• Improved user lists with no item limits and no expiration dates (Please note: Users' lists will not transfer from the old catalog; you will need to create new lists. The old catalog will remain available at http://durham.ipac.sirsidynix.net/ to provide you access to your current lists.);
• Enhanced details for items that include summaries, Goodreads information, reviews and excerpts from Google Book when available.

We have created a detailed help file that you can access from any page on the catalog by clicking the ? icon at the top right of the page.

In addition, you will find two screencasts below that will introduce you to the features of the catalog. The first video walks you through searching for materials, and the second shows you how to access your library account to manage your holds, renew items and view your fines.
