Abstract: Correspondence, clippings, promotional materials, syllabi , grant proposals, and oral history collected by Durham County author, publisher, and creative writing instructor Judy Hogan.
Scope and Content: This collection primarily contains materials generated by Judy Hogan’s publishing company, Carolina Wren Press, in the 1970s and her creative writing classes at the Durham County Public Library in the 1980s. Of particular interest is an oral history project Hogan completed at the Rougemont Senior Center, 1982-1984. Interviews and photographs of interviewees are included in the collection.

Biographical/Historical Note: Judy Hogan founded her own small publishing company, Carolina Wren Press, in 1976 (incorporated 1978). She began a series of writing workshops at the Durham County Public Library, which ran from 1982 until about 1988.
