Contains a large collection of ebooks covering American history and world history, as well as history books on more obscure topics, such as the history of sports, fashion, food and scientific discoveries. There are also many books that discuss what life was like during certain time periods in different countries, including recipes. There is also a small multicultural and gender studies collection.

This database provides coverage of history, geography, social customs, family life, leisure, arts, food, clothing, religion and holidays of over seventy countries from around the world dates include the 4th century CE to the present. This is a good source if you are doing a paper about what life was like during a certain time period or you need to know about customs or foods for another country in the present day.

English Poetry NCLIVE

The Foundation Center's database is one of the primary resources for grant seekers. The database can be searched by specific fields, or can simply be browsed. It is geared to grant seekers who are affiliated with non-profit entities. It is not set up to assist individuals seeking grant funding for personal projects.

Similar to the Foundation Directory Online, this database is devoted exclusively to foundations that fund individuals (who may or may not be affiliated with non-profit entities). North Carolina Collection Internet
