Durham County Library Hosts Reception for Literacy Through Photography

Durham County Library will host a reception for the Literacy Through Photography exhibition at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, at the Main Library, 300. N. Roxboro St. Dr. Katie Hyde, Visual Education and Documentary Arts Fellow at the Center for Documentary Studies, and teachers and students from the School for Creative Studies will give a presentation on the project.

Durham County Library Hosts Discussion on Mass Incarceration

Durham County Library will host a discussion of the documentary Slavery by Another Name, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, at the Main Library, 300 N. Roxboro St. The program will feature Dr. Charles Campbell, Professor of Homiletics at Duke Divinity School; Daryl Atkinson, Attorney at the Southern Coalition for Social Justice (SCSJ); and Kimberly Brown, a re-entry activist.
