Durham County Library Honors Local History Donors

Durham County Library will host a recognition ceremony and reception celebrating individuals and organizations that have donated materials to the North Carolina Collection in the past five years. The reception will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, at the Main Library, 300 N. Roxboro St.

Durham County Library North Carolina Collection Librarian Inducted into Historical Society

Durham County Library’s North Carolina Collection librarian, Lynn Richardson, has been inducted into the Historical Society of North Carolina. Formed in 1945, the Society is made up of scholars of North Carolina history primarily from colleges, universities, libraries and archives throughout the state. Participation is by invitation only and limited to no more than 75 active members.

Durham County Library Hosts Reception Honoring Howard Clement

Durham County Library’s North Carolina Collection will host a reception honoring city councilman and former North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance executive Howard Clement for donating his personal papers to the North Carolina Collection. The event will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, at the Main Library, 300 N. Roxboro Street.
