Roxboro St. Dr. Katie Hyde, Visual Education and Documentary Arts Fellow at the Center for Documentary Studies, and teachers and students from the School for Creative Studies will give a presentation on the project.

Durham County Library will host award-winning photographer José Galvez for a presentation honoring farm workers at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, at the Main Library, 300. N. Roxboro St.
Durham County Library will host fine art photographer Marjorie Brown Pierson on Thursday, December 12, at 7 p.m. at Southwest Regional Library, 3605 Shannon Rd. Pierson will discuss her work capturing coastal North Carolina landscapes and will sign copies of her book, Struck by Nature: Photographs of Bald Head Island.
Durham County Library will partner with Sister Cities of Durham to host a program on photographs taken by school children in Arusha, Tanzania. The program will take place on Saturday, November 13, at 3 p.m. at the Main Library, 300 N. Roxboro St. The photographs are part of a collaborative project with the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University.
On the 8th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Durham County Library will host Donn Young, the official photographer of the Port of New Orleans, for his presentation, 40 Days and 40 Nights, a portrait of New Orleans after the storm.
