Durham County Library Wraps Up Summer Reading at the Museum of Life and Science

After a summer of reading fun, Durham County Library will end the season with a finale at the Museum of Life and Science on Saturday, Aug. 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring all of the museum attractions plus magic, puppets and music. The museum, which is located at 433 W. Murray Ave., will be free and open to the public during the event.

Durham County Library Gears up for Summer Reading 2014

Durham County Library will celebrate the start of Summer Reading 2014 with a kickoff at Northgate Mall on Saturday, June 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dozens of performers and activities will be on tap, including Scrap Exchange, Paint Savvy, North Carolina Zoo, Museum of Natural Sciences, Durham Arts Council, Mad Science, aerialists, storytelling, face painting, balloon art, crafts, bounce houses, a video game truck and musicians.

Durham County Library Kicks Off Summer Reading 2013 at Northgate Mall

Durham County Library will celebrate the start of a summer of “Digging Into Reading” with a kickoff at Northgate Mall, on Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dozens of booths will be on tap including Scrap Exchange, Paint Savvy, North Carolina Zoo, Museum of Life and Science, Museum of Natural Sciences, a Zumba area, aerialists, storytelling, crafts, a magician, bounce houses for children and adults, Sol Food mobile farm, live music with DJ Pitty Pat, a video game truck, prizes and free RIF books for children.
