Durham County Library Director Tammy Baggett Wins Roadbuilders’ Award

About: Durham County Library Director Tammy Baggett has won the North Carolina Library Association’s Roundtable for Ethnic Minority Concerns (REMCo) Roadbuilders’ Award for Public Librarianship for 2013.

The REMCo Roadbuilders’ Award recognizes ethnic minority librarians in library education, academic, public, school and special libraries, who have served as pioneers in librarianship and who represent a positive role model in the field. The award also recognizes ethnic minority librarians who exemplify courage, integrity, perseverance and who have contributed to the field of librarianship. Baggett will receive the award at the 60th NCLA Biennial Conference in Winston-Salem on Thursday, October 17, 2013.
