1/27 3:00 p.m. UPDATE
Some users are reporting that the catalog layout does not look right after the upgrade (the search bar is too low and covering other content, the DCL logo is way off to the left, etc.). If you are having this problem, please clear your browser’s cache. Here are links to instructions for the major browsers:
This problem seems to only occur for users who visited the catalog during the time it was down for upgrade (Friday, Jan. 24 between about 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.)

1/24 10:22 a.m. UPDATE
The catalog is now down for the upgrade. We’ll update you here and on our Twitter account throughout the morning.
We will be upgrading our online catalog to a new version on Friday, January 24. The catalog will be unavailable beginning around 10 a.m. The upgrade should be complete by the time the library opens at 2 p.m.
During the downtime, patrons will not be able to log in to their library accounts to place holds, renew, or otherwise manage their account. This outage also affects our ebook and e-audiobook system, OverDrive. Patrons will not be able to log in to OverDrive to checkout and download ebooks during the outage.
Please stay tuned to our Twitter account throughout the morning on January 24th. We will post updates about the upgrade process there.
The upgrade will prepare the system for enhanced functionality that will be coming soon and fix several bugs in the catalog including:
- Items being marked as overdue on their due date;
- Mismatch between number of items marked as “Ready for pickup” and the number of items ready listed at top of page;
- Server error when attempting to click a title from hold or checkout screens;
- Unexpected error if session sits idle for more than five minutes;
- Cover images for DVDs do not appear in search results, but do display in item detail results;
- And many more.
This upgrade will also end support for Internet Explore 8. If you are still running a Windows computer with Internet Explorer 8 installed, please upgrade your browser, or switch to Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
