Orphan Train

By Christina Baker Kline

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I reserve “5-stars” to the exceptional; the extraordinary; the timeless classics. This was great but not a classic. Although the story telling approach of bouncing back and forth between generations seems to be a little overdone, I enjoyed both story lines in the book. I am truly floored that I never heard of “orphan trains” before. If nothing else, this book confirmed my longing and desire to adopt a child(ren). To read about children without homes, without people to love them, leaves me heartbroken. I loved hearing this story through Vivian’s eyes. I would without hesitation recommend this book.
