Programs: Breakfast @ Your Library and Lunchtime Adventures
Date: Monday-Friday, June 16 through August 8 (Closed on Jul. 4)
Time: 9 – 9:45 a.m. and 12 noon – 1 p.m.
Location: Main Library Auditorium, 300 N. Roxboro St.
Cost: Free and open to youth ages 1- 18 years
About: Durham County Library will host Breakfast @ Your Library and Lunchtime Adventures every Monday through Friday, June 16 – August 8. Breakfast @ Your Library will be from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Lunchtime Adventures will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Both meals will be served in the auditorium of the Main Library at 300 N. Roxboro Street.
Breakfast @ Your Library and Lunchtime Adventures allow youth in the community, ages 1 through 18 years, to enjoy a hot and nutritious meal while listening to a great story and having fun with Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Stories will be presented by community and staff members, including County Commissioners Ellen Reckhow and Brenda Howerton on June 18, Commissioner Wendy Jacobs on June 19 and Mayor Bill Bell on June 30.
On June 20, in honor of National Summer Learning Day, the library will be hosting a special Lunchtime Adventures where youth can participate in various STEM activities. Additionally, on July 3, SEEDS will present an exciting session on garden science.
Groups are welcome for both breakfast and lunch, but must register. Individual families do not have to register. For more information or to register a group, call Karlene at 919-560-0172 or email email@example.com.
