Join us at Main Library on Tuesday, October 6 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. to learn how to get ebooks, e-audiobooks and more from Durham County Library on the Digital Bookmobile! With instructional videos, interactive computer stations and a fully-loaded gadget gallery, readers of all ages will experience new ways to enjoy digital books & more from the public library.
The Digital Bookmobile is housed inside an 18-wheel tractor-trailer. This 74-foot community outreach vehicle is a high-tech update of the traditional bookmobile that has served communities for decades. The vehicle is equipped with broadband Internet-connected PCs, high definition monitors, premium sound systems, and a variety of portable media players, all of which help visitors explore DCL’s digital service. Interactive learning stations give visitors an opportunity to search the library’s digital media collection, use supported mobile devices, and sample ebooks and e-audiobooks.
Patrons are welcome to bring their mobile devices to get personalized help in getting started.
