About: Durham County Library is celebrating the 2016 Olympic Games with 3-time Olympic coach, Al Buehler. Enjoy a free screening of the film Starting at the Finish Line: The Coach Buehler Story at 6 p.m. on Monday, August 22 in the auditorium at Main Library, 300 N. Roxboro St.
This teen program is open to people of all ages—families, students, coaches, athletes and others. Doors open at 6 p.m. Enjoy free special edition Olympic donuts from Monuts and popcorn while watching the film, which starts at 6:30 p.m. The film is produced and narrated by NBA All-Star Grant Hill. Coach Al Buehler, namesake of “Buehler Trail,” is one of Durham’s living legends. Coach K says, “Coach Buehler defined the word ‘Coach.’ He set a standard for all of us to follow.” After the film screening, at 7:30 p.m., there will be a question and answer session along with a book and film signing with Coach Buehler and filmmaker Amy Unell.
