Never Sit Down in a Hoopskirt and Other Things I Learned in Southern Belle Hell

By Crickett Rumley

Rumley had me laughing with her humorous characters and situations. While the book was relatively predictable, it made for a great summer read: quick and entertaining. As someone from the South, her generalizations about pageant life made me chuckle and her characters reminded me of folks from my own life.

Would definitely recommend it, but know that it’s meant to be a fun read with the ending being relatively easy to predict.
