About: Durham County Library is hosting the Center for Documentary Studies’ presentation of East Durham Stories on Thursday, November 17 at 7 p.m. at Main Library, 300 N. Roxboro St. in downtown Durham. This event is free and open to the public.
In June 2016, the thirteenth edition of the Center for Documentary Studies‘ Documentary Video Institute, offered each summer through a continuing education program, once again focused on the East Durham area. Twenty-four students from across the nation were guided through a week-long course in all aspects of documentary filmmaking. The resulting thirteen films are a multidimensional portrait of the Durham community.
