Presented by the Durham chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Durham Emergency Medical Services First Responder Maxwell Peterson will talk about CIT (Crisis Intervention Training), a 40-hour training for police officers, sheriff’s deputies and other first responders when called to intervene with a person suffering from serious mental illness.
