The Friends of the Durham Library is pleased to announce there will be a final book sale at Main Library on Saturday, February 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, February 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. The book sale will be open to the public, with no Friends membership required. Books will be regular prices, with no bag sale. If the sale is canceled due to weather, it will be rescheduled for the following weekend.
Between January 15, when Main Library closes to the public, and February 14, book donations can be made to Main Library on Tuesday mornings from 9 a.m. until 12 noon only. Book donations can continue to be taken to all other Durham County Library locations open to the public. After February 14, book sale sorting and operations will move to Northgate Mall in a space next to Sears. Plans are being developed to open that space regularly for book sales.
After February 14, book donations will be accepted at that Northgate location on Tuesday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. If there are very large donations, please call Stephanie Bonestell at 919-560-0190 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for additional instructions.
