Join us to hear from Durham author Frances O’Roark Dowell, award-winning children’s book author. She has written her first novel for adults, Birds in the Air. She combines her deep connection to the quilting life and her love of storytelling to create a novel about the abiding friendships that bind together a community of women who share a passion for making quilts. Dowell also hosts the popular “Off-Kilter Quilt” podcast, where she talks about her latest quilting projects with fellow quilters around the globe. Books will be available for sale. A Q&A will follow the reading.
