Program: Books Among Friends – Summer Reading Kickoff Book Sale

Location: Books Among Friends, 1058 W Club Blvd, Suite 252, Durham, NC 27701 (inside Northgate near Sears)
Durham, NC – Books Among Friends, the Friends of the Durham Library’s new location, is holding its next book sale on Saturday, June 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in conjunction with Durham County Library’s Summer Reading Kickoff. Books Among Friends is located inside Northgate (1058 W Club Blvd, Suite 252, Durham, NC 27701). If you enter the mall through Sears, it will be immediately on your right. The book sale is open to the public. No Friends membership is required, but consider joining the Friends and getting involved. The half-price sale runs from 2 to 4 p.m.
Sign up for Summer Reading at the Kickoff celebration inside Northgate and on the plaza and enjoy activities for the entire family including everything from Cirque de Vol to Seeds in Motion. Then head over to the book sale and find books to read all summer long. Explore the new space and the array of gently used books and media for sale, including popular titles, DVDs, audiobooks, and rare books. Unless otherwise marked, hardbacks are $3, trade paperbacks and other larger paperbacks are $2 and mass market paperbacks are $1. Everything else is priced as marked.
Donations keep the Friends going. Books Among Friends accepts book donations every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. You can bring donations to the door on the exterior of the mall between Sears and Catherines. Questions? Call 919-560-7159 or email FODLdonations@gmail.com.
The Friends of the Durham Library, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the goals of Durham County Library.
