Durham, NC – Durham County Library presents Beat Generation Writers on Saturday, July 22 at 3 p.m. at Southwest Regional Library, 3605 Shannon Rd, Durham, NC 27707. This program is free and open to the public.

The Washington Street Writing Group celebrates its 25th anniversary with an afternoon of poetry and discussion, focused on the Beats and other poets from the post-WWII to mid-1960s era. The Beats stood for openness, activism, and experimentation in writing, sometimes combining poetry with jazz.
