Durham, NC – Durham County Library presents Bettie Reynolds: Cowgirl to Cattle Queen on Sunday, July 16 at 2 p.m. at Durham Arts Council, PSI Theatre, 120 Morris St., Durham, NC 27701. This program is free and open to the public.
At age 16, Bettie Reynolds (1851-1935) was one of the first women to ride the cattle trails of the west. Come see this costumed performance of a woman who started out in a sod roof house with dirt floors and became the owner of a cattle empire extending from Texas to neighboring states. She’ll be portrayed by Dr. Sally Ann Drucker, who enjoys keeping women from the past alive.
