Durham, NC – Durham County Library presents Emma Goldman: Dangerous Woman on Saturday, July 7 at 2 p.m. at Southwest Regional Library, 3605 Shannon Rd., Durham, NC 27707. This event is free and open to the public.
Theodore Roosevelt called Emma Goldman the “most dangerous woman in America.” When she protested America’s entry into “The War to End All Wars,” she was imprisoned for two years, then deported. Goldman also fought for freedom of speech, workers’ and women’s rights, and communal anarchism. Join Dr. Sally Ann Drucker as she re-creates Goldman, who discusses her life and ideas as she returns to America for a 1934 book tour.
