Durham, NC – Find gently-used books, many in gift-giving condition, at Books Among Friends’ final book sale of 2018. The sale takes place on December 1 and 2 at Books Among Friends, inside Northgate—immediately on the right as you exit Sears into the mall.
Saturday, December 1, the sale is open to the public starting at 12 noon. For early access starting at 10 a.m., purchase an annual individual membership ($15) or family membership ($25) at the door. Hardbacks are $3, trade paperbacks are $2, small paperbacks and young adult books are $1, and children’s books are 25 cents to $1. AV materials are $1 to $4 and special books are priced as marked.
Sunday, December 2, the sale is open 1 to 4 p.m. for a $10-per-bag sale, open to the public. The bag sale is a bargain: All items, regardless of their original prices, can be part of a $10 bag. Fill as many bags as you want! A half bag is $5, and items amounting to less than a half bag are half their original prices.
Cash, checks, debit cards, and credit cards are welcome. Proceeds go to the Friends of the Durham Library, a nonprofit that helps the Durham County Library fund programs, services, and materials.
