Please join us for an intergenerational community storytime to honor the historic Apollo 11 mission. Families are invited to learn about the moon landing and share their own memories of the televised event. Relive the feel and excitement of 1969 in the ReStore’s “Lunar Living,” a representation of a typical 1960s home, and watch the NASA footage as it aired 50 years ago. Attendees will also learn about other free STEAM events happening throughout April to celebrate the NC Science Festival and Star Party. This program is co-sponsored by Durham County Library, Durham Parks & Recreation, and the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
