Durham, NC – Durham County Library presents Art with the Experts: Pop América on Monday, April 1 at 7:00 p.m. at South Regional Library, 4505 S. Alston Ave., Durham, NC 27713. This event is free and open to the public.

Despite the wide appeal of Pop art’s engaging imagery, the broader public remains unaware of the participation and significant contribution of Latin American and Latino/a artists working at the same time and alongside their U.S. and European counterparts. The Nasher Museum of Art presents Pop América, 1965-1975, the first exhibition with a hemispheric vision of Pop. Join Duke University graduate student Jasmine Magaña for a discussion and slide lecture of this timely and critical exhibition.

This program is sponsored by the Durham Library Foundation. For more information, call 919-560-0268 or visit DurhamCountyLibrary.org.
