Top Menu transition to LinkedIn Learning

The transition to LinkedIn Learning from has been postponed by LinkedIn. We will update this page with new information when we have it. In the meantime, please continue to as you always have.

As of September 26, 2019, our online resource will become LinkedIn Learning.

What will stay the same

For people who have been using through the library, here’s what will stay the same:

  • Access to LinkedIn Learning will still be free of charge via your Durham County Library account.
  • All of the courses that were available through will now be available through LinkedIn Learning.
  • Your course history will be transferred over to LinkedIn Learning.

If you have previously used through the library, you will receive an email to activate your LinkedIn Learning account after the switch is complete.

What will change

To use LinkedIn Learning, you will need to have a LinkedIn account (in addition to your library card and PIN). LinkedIn’s privacy policy differs from most of our vendors by allowing them to share your LinkedIn and LinkedIn Learning data with third parties, including advertisers.

LinkedIn requires users to be age 16 or older.

If you’re setting up a new LinkedIn account to use this resource, your privacy settings will default to visible, which means anyone can find your LinkedIn profile by searching LinkedIn or Google. You can learn how to change them here.
