Durham, NC – Durham County Library is excited to announce that we have expanded hours for Library Take-Out! service at our regional and branch libraries. We hope that by extending the hours for this service, we can provide more support for our community and increase access to our physical materials. As of Tuesday, November 10, the new Library Take-Out! hours for East, North, South, and Southwest Regional Libraries as well as Bragtown and Stanford L. Warren Branch Libraries are as follows:
Tuesday–Friday 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Closed Sunday and Monday.
Library Take-Out! has been in place since June and allows customers to place holds on items and, once the items are ready, to reserve a time to pick them up from the library lobby. Library customers can log in to their account online at DurhamCountyLibrary.org or call 919-560-0103 to place a hold on materials for pick up at the library. The phone line is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Full instructions can be found at DurhamCountyLibrary.org/TakeOut.
Durham County Library encourages discovery, connects the community, and leads in literacy. As a department of Durham County Government, the library furthers Goal 1 of the county’s Strategic Plan by enhancing cultural, educational, and creative opportunities.
