Heads up: temporary online cards created while the library was closed will expire after 6/30/2021. This applies to you if:
- You log in using your phone number, and
- You signed up for a card between March 2020 and April 2021.
If you have a 14-digit card number starting with 2345…, that’s a standard card – this expiration won’t affect you.
If you have a temporary card that’s set to expire, we ask that you stop by the library to convert it to a permanent card. You can come to any regional or branch location during our walk-in hours. You’ll need to bring a photo ID and something that verifies your Durham County address. That could be one item (like an NC driver’s license with your current address) or two separate items (like an employment ID plus a utility bill with your name and address on it).
Thanks again for signing up for a Durham County Library card – we are so excited to have you as part of the library family! Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
