Kathleen is the Manager at North Regional Library with over nine years of experience working in public libraries and two years of experience working in academia. She earned a B.S. in exercise science from High Point University and her M.L.S. from North Carolina Central University. She is also a certified American Safety and Health Institute safety instructor. Kathleen believes that libraries are more than just books; they are spaces for collaboration, cultivating, learning, and discovery. She always looks for opportunities to better serve the community with resources that improve lives and wellbeing. Her favorite books are The Color Purple by Alice Walker and The Color of Water by James McBride.
