Are You Up for the Task?

Saturday, April 10, 2021 • 11:30am - 12:00pm

Virtual Events

Are you up for a challenge? We’re looking for community members to complete a task in the most unique way possible: paint a portrait of a person or pet using only condiments (ketchup, mustard, ranch, hot sauce, etc.). A panel will convene to select a winner who will get a prize! For more information and to submit your portrait, visit this link https://durhamcountylibrary.org/libraryfest/photo-contests/

Find the program on the library's YouTube page:

Dungeons & Dragons @ the Library... Online! - Fantasy Role-playing Game

Saturday, April 10, 2021 • 1:00pm - 4:30pm

Virtual Events (Zoom Meeting Room)

Take a seat at the virtual table, grab some digital dice, and step into the shoes of a hero at Durham County Library's monthly Dungeons & Dragons games. For the complete details, check here

Players will need an account on Roll20.net to participate in these programs. Because play will take place on a virtual table top, with communication via Zoom, players will need a desktop/laptop computer with a high speed internet connection and functioning microphone to play.

When you register for this program you will receive an automated message saying "We've reserved a place for you at the following event." Please ignore this email, it is an automated message, and a terribly misleading lie.

The waiting list for this program works a bit differently than most. In fact, without emailing jwdavis@dconc.gov, you won't even know if you're on the waiting list or not until the week of the program. This is to make it easier for new participants to get a seat at the table, and for players who haven't played for a while (but who can't be sitting at the computer at noon clicking refresh) to play again.

Again, email jwdavis@dconc.gov if you have questions. Also, while you can register for more than one D&D program a month, you can only play-in/observe, and claim points for, one program per calendar month.

Ages: Teen, Senior Citizen, Emerging Adult: 18-24 Year Olds, Adult

Registration required
