Description: Materials consist of 5 small loose-leaf notebooks, 1 ledger, and 1 folder. Interspersed with the notebooks of meeting minutes are a few newspaper clippings, programs, invitations, and similar materials.
Scope and Content: The Friday Morning Music Study Club Collection, 1932-1993, consists of a treasurer’s ledger, meeting minutes, records, correspondence, and two photographs documenting the club’s activities. The Friday Morning Music Study Club was organized in October 1932 by Mrs. Palmer Constable and friends in order to “promote the culture and study of music.” The club held a variety of programs relating to music study and also acted to support local performances. The collection includes membership lists, attendance records, and materials concerning its fiftieth anniversary year, 1982-1983.
