In September 2019, North Regional Library was thrilled to host our third annual “Build a Better Durham” Volunteer Fair. The event was organized by Emily Tobias, Adult Services Librarian, North Regional Library. Representatives from fifteen organizations that serve the people (and animals) of Durham County were on hand. Library visitors were able to talk with them about the services they perform (everything from housing to job assistance to nutrition to literacy and so much more) as well as their volunteer needs. It was an honor to be able to bring these amazing service organizations to the attention of the public!
