Every February is National Dental Health Month. This year, East Regional Library Children’s Services centered one of our monthly stack displays on this topic. Relevant children’s books on dental health were arranged throughout the month for viewing and circulation by our patrons. To enhance the display, a collaboration with Durham County Health Department made it possible to provide free toothbrushes and toothpaste to the community throughout the month. Over 100 dental kits were given out, and approximately 60 children’s dental health books circulated. We would like to think that awareness of dental health and smiles were bought to our patrons that month. We were proud to have exhibited organizational collaboration to enhance our customers’ educational awareness about children’s dental health!
