Eventos de Humanidades
Nuestro programa de humanidades invita a autores reconocidos a nivel nacional y a académicos de primera clase a que visiten nuestras bibliotecas a través de eventos que se centran en la música, el arte, la historia local, la religión, la literatura y la cultura.
A menudo los programas se desarrollan en colaboración con nuestras numerosas organizaciones locales de arte y humanidades, organizaciones sin ánimo de lucro y otras instituciones.
Los programas de humanidades son financiados por la Durham Library Foundation.

Celeste es originaria de Carolina del Norte de la pequeña ciudad de Ridgeway. Una trayectoria de varios empleos en servicio al cliente y oportunidades de voluntariado contribuyó a su pasión por servir a la comunidad y los diversos miembros de la misma. Habiéndose graduado de UNC Asheville (BA) con enfoque en el arte de estampado y con una maestría en bibliotecología (MLS) de NCCU, con enfoque en bibliotecas públicas, a Celeste le emociona ahora asumir el cargo de coordinadora del área de humanidades para la excepcional comunidad del sistema de Bibliotecas del Condado de Durham.
¡Lo más importante que Celeste quiere que usted sepa de ella es que le encantaría SABER DE USTED! El área de humanidades y las bibliotecas comparten el común denominador de promover un sentido de comunidad y el intercambio de opiniones, así que, por favor, ¡comparta la suya!
