Jessica es la directora de servicios para adultos de la Biblioteca South Regional. Creció en Ann Arbor, Michigan, y se mudó a Durham en el 2008. Tiene un máster en Escritura Creativa por la Universidad Estatal de Kansas y un máster en Biblioteconomía por la Universidad Estatal de Wayne. Le fascina la biblioteca desde que tiene uso de razón, y cuando tenía nueve años convirtió todos sus libros en «libros de biblioteca» haciendo tarjetas y bolsillos para todos ellos. Cuando no está ocupada siendo bibliotecaria, le encanta pasar tiempo con su hijo y sus dos perros locos, leer, dibujar y dedicarse a la fotografía.
