Chronological files prepared by the Friends document the organization’s activites for that particular year, and include meeting minutes, event and fundraising materials, outreach publications, and organizational correspondence. Subject files build upon the materials in the chronological files, and were maintained separately by the Friends. The third series includes the files of Nancy Henderson-James, Friends secretary (1983-1984) and Book Sale co-chair (1983-1993) and Lois Holt, chair of the annual banquet committee (1989-1992) and president of the Friends (1992-1993). The collection includes a small number of photographs, mostly of the Friends’ annual banquet, which have been placed in protective sleeves. Two small metal nameplates, engraved with the organization’s name, have also been kept as artifacts.
