Durham County Library relies on the support of the community to help us continue to provide outstanding programs, resources, and services that we cannot achieve through County support alone. There are several ways you can get involved with the library.
The Durham Library Foundation (DLF) is on a mission to expand resources for all public libraries in Durham County. The Foundation supports library facilities, services, and programs in order to develop and sustain a world-class library system. DLF provides annual grants, raises funds for capital projects, and ensures the libraries’ future through endowment funds.
The Friends of the Durham Library is a nonprofit that helps fund programs, services, and materials at Durham County Library. You can help by becoming a member, attending a book sale at Books Among Friends, and donating gently used books.
Please note that due to COVID-19 donated books are not being accepted at this time. For the latest, visit fodlnc.org.
You can also help out by volunteering. Contact your local library to ask about current needs.
