Tonja was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree in sociology from North Carolina Central University and her M.L.S. from North Carolina Central University. She has worked in various departments for numerous years at Durham County Library. She enjoys helping people of all ages. She takes pride in providing excellent customer service. Tonja is an advocate for lifelong learning. In her time off, she enjoys spending with her family, cooking, reading, outdoor recreational activities, performing arts, and community outreach.
